International Congress of Psychosomatic Medicine
In the name of the Organizing
Committee of congress it is a pleasure and a honor to welcome the participants
of the congress who are coming from many countries and different fields. It is
the 3rd International congress taking place since 2006 at the
University of Isfahan. The scientific program is presenting an enormous variety
of topics. This mirrors the growing interest for psychosomatic approaches by Pain
Management in the
psychotherapeutic and medical field.
The past, present and future of Pain & Pain Management will be discussed. I wish all the participants’ valuable findings, stimulation and fresh impetus and the organizers a successful congress.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The official language of congress is Deutsch, Persisch und English.
Currency is the Iranisch Rial. Foreign money can be changed by banks during working days (09.00- 17.00 Monday - Friday) as well as hotels, exchange offices. Exchange rates are set daily by the Central Bank.
The Iranish currency is Iranish Tuman. The exchange rate for Iranish Tuman as of April 2011 is; EUR 1= Tuman 180
The electrical power supply in Iran is 220 volts.
At the May daytime temperatures are in the range of 18-28 Celsius.
Iran is 3:30 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
The fastest and consequently the least tiring way to get to Iran is by plane. All major airlines have direct flights to Tehran and some to Isfahan. There are inner-Iranian flights and bus services from Tehran to Isfahan, the venue of the congress. A flight takes approximately 40 minutes, a bus ride about 4,5 or 5 hours.
