		میشائل اشتر کارشناس ارشد روانشناسی بالینی متولد 1954 ، در دانشگاه برلین (غربی) در سال 1977 فارغ التحصیل شد. او در سال 1984 تخصص خود را در رواندرمانی از انجمن ب.د.پ کسب نمود. دیگر تخصصهای خود را در سال 1999 به پایان رسانید. تخصصهای او در شاخه های رفتار درمانی شناختی ، شیوه ی درمانی درمانجومدار و گشتالت درمانی میباشند. از سال 1981 ریاست روانشناسان و ریاست بیمارستانها و مراکز بازپروری متفاوتی را در زمینه های اعتیاد به الکل ، اعتیاد به دارو ، اعتیاد به مواد مخدر و بیماری های روان تنی بر عهده داشته است. از سال 2005 ریاست کلینیک روان درمانی و بازپروری (اعتیاد به مواد مخدر) فریدبرگ ( زالوس) را بر عهده دارد.
